SUPER BIKES IN INDIA : A REVIEW

Harley Davidson

Harley Davidson India has introduced complete bike family in India consisting of 12 models. The super bike models include - the Fat Boy, Night Rod Special, Roadster, Sportster, Dyna, VRSC, Softail and Legend Harley. The bikes are priced in the range of Rs 6.95 lakh and Rs 34.95 lakh ex-showroom. As part of the strategy for Indian market, the company has introduced five models price range between Rs 12 - 14 lakhs. The delivery of the Harley Davidson bikes in India will start by the year of 2010. Bookings begin in April and Harley-Davidson will start delivering the motorcycles from June. Initially, the company would have five dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Personally, I like Harley Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod priced at around Rs 20 lakhs.

 





Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa









Suzuki Hayabusa is the most popular sports motorcycles in India. The 4-stroke, four-cylinder liquid-cooled 1299cc engine produces a massive peak power of 175 bhp at 9800 rpm and enables Hayabusa to reach from 0-100 km/h in three seconds flat. twin-spar aluminum frame., wider fairing and a 15mm-taller windscreen make Hayabusa a dream machine. Top of the fuel tank is lower allowing a tighter full tuck and the tail section has an enlarged speed hump. All these features combine to give a super bike in real sense. This dream machine can make it to your garage in Rs. 13,65,000.

Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja





Ninja is the flagship sports bike of Kawasaki Motorcycles and leads its manufacturer into the high-performance sports bike war raging among different motorcycle manufacturers. Fuel injected liquid cooled, 1200 cc engine generates around 190 hp at 300 km/h. Ninja’s all-aluminium monocoque frame and cast steering swingarm pivot areas are made for an extremely stiff structure and contribute to tits superb high-speed stability and supersport handling performance. Kawasaki Ninja will cost you around Rs. 4,50,000.



Yamaha YZF R1




Yamaha YZF-R1, has come a long way competing with Suzuki Hayabusa for the top slot in super bike category in India. Equipped with a short-stroke 998cc DOHC, 20-valve, liquid-cooled in line four-cylinder engine that delivers a peak power of 175 bhp, Yamaha R1 successfully puts together the awesome power with the lightweight and responsiveness of a 600-class chassis. Redesigned headlights with LED taillight impart YZF R1 a distinctive look. The bike enthralls the young guys going for style and speed. Yamaha R1 has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 12,81,000.



Honda CBR1000RR






Honda CBR1000RR reputation as a powerful, fast, and reliable sports bike. CBR's liquid-cooled, 16-valve DOHC in line-four cylinder 999cc engine produced a peak power of 174 bhp at 10000 rpm. The 1000RR is the result of Honda's relentless effort to produce the ultimate super bike with awesome performance. The bike boasts of ultra-low vibration at all speeds, provided by a new dual-shaft balancer. Although its status of the fastest bike is in competition with Suzuki Hayabusa, its production continues and is costs aorung Rs. 12,50,000.

    Bhai bike milne ke baad mujhe mat bhool jaiyo. Atleast 1 baar to mauka diyo isme bethke pic khichwane ka.

    Or ha purchase tab kariyo jab 1 ke sath 1 free hogi. To 1 meri or 1 teri. Superb idea. Try to implement it.
